When we first moved to Bingham we had no idea that the oldest House in Bingham was also called the haunted house. We found out a few months later that the rumors were true. We moved into the oldest House in Bingham in May of 2001. Not knowing the history of the house. It turns out that the House was called the Kincaid mansion and was offices for the sandhills Kincaid     act in the Early 20th century. The Kincaid act gave farmers 500 acers of the sandhills if they would stay on and farm the land for 5 years. This was not the plan for the big ranchers who ran off the farmers or worse killed them off in order to claim there land. I spoke with a Man in Alliance who used to live in our House and he said that his mom locked either him or his brother in a closet and hung herself on the second floor. Our House used to be 2 1/2 stories but after the hanging they removed the 2nd Story and dropped the top Story down. The reason   (continued on the next page...)
