Comment by Allyssa: What you saw was most definitely supernatural. But I don't think what came along was a normal spirit. Obviously. I'm thinking you most likely came across something very demonic. Anything out of sorts like glowing eyes and deformed like you said he was crawling, that's more on the lines of a demon.
You girls were very lucky to have just been able to runaway with no harm. Demons can tend to play with your mind and physically harm you.
