There is a house on 4th and Cedar street in South Omaha that certainly occupys more than the living people who rent this home. My family lived in this house for years and had MANY horrifying experiences. One was all of the cupboard doors and drawers repeatedly opening and slamming in the kitchen in broad day light. Another, conversations on the first floow (which was the kitchen) when no one was there. When you would walk in to the kitchen and turn on the lights, the conversations would stop abruptly. The second floor was no better. Televisions and radios would turn on and off continually. Foot steps would be heard from the second floor when no one was there. This place is not a place I will ever return to. Up the street from this house is an ancient church looking builkding that reportedly is a satanic church, although I never went in it to see and it was NEVER open to the public althoguht the grounds and the building remained well maintained. .

corner that no one has lived in for years. During the 5 years that I lived in the area, there were many instances where paranormal activity occurred. For example, the house has been up for repairs several times and been repainted and the house always seems to end up the same way: with the attic window broken and the paint faded at the end of the day.

There have been a few couples that have lived in the house, but they have only made it through the 1st 48 hours before running out of the house screaming at 3am (or ''dead time''). When the movers would show up the next day to pick up their belongings, the house would be bare like no one was ever there. If you look the house up online, it isn't on the zoning map. The house has been up for sale several times, but nobody ever buys it. If you stand on the porch, it is cold like a winter day, even if it's 90 degrees out. I also had a picture from my graduation that I had taken that had had part of the house in it. They were double prints, but one of the pictures looked like there was a hand coming out the broken attic window. As I went to look closer at the picture, it began to turn completely white and burned in my hand in front of me and my roommates. I'm not sure if the house is possessed, but it sure scared me.

When I was younger my sisters and I stayed with our grandparents in N. Omaha. One day out of the corner

of my eye I saw a figure dressed in black with hat in the upstairs bathroom, I turned to get a closer look and saw the figure disappear. I ran downstairs and told my grandmother what I had seen. A short time later my sister came running out of the bathroom one night screaming she had seen a man dressed in black standing inside the tub. My grandfather investigated and found nothing. There have been many unexplainable events that have happened in that house through the years: Several music boxes going off at once, heavy footsteps, t.v.'s and radio's going on & off, and crying sounds. Years later as an adult the subject of the man in black came up and I was told by my mother that he had been seen by many in the family, his name was Mr. Benson the builder of the house in 1900, and that there use to be a stairwell where the tub now sat. The house is still standing, my grand parents are deceased (they both died in the house) and every now and then there is a unexplainable event. .
