Folks who have never stayed for a few days in this city will tell you it's untrue, but with so many phantoms in Alleene you have a reasonably magnificent chance of setting eyes on one if you spend a night here.

A wandering ghost appeared pushing orbs around in Cotton Woods Shoals at midnight. The phantom did not care that there was someone else there.

The ghost of a young-looking Indian warrior was seen after midnight hovering across Gum Flats. When the viewer came into sight the spirit ran away.

The ghost of an airplane pilot has repeatedly been witnessed appearing frightening in the center of Bridge Creek.

The ghost of a sturdy lumberjack grasping a large axe is frequently seen staring at the water by Pullen Lake Dam
 
    after midnight.

The menacing phantom of a Viking has purportedly been perceived on a handful of occasions going berserk in Patterson Shoals Public Use Area at the stroke of midnight. Several people assert this ghost is that of a resident who dwelled here in Alleene some time ago.
