Paintings dance about, screams coming out of nowhere. Folks who have never stayed for the night in this city will inform you it's lies, but with so many ghosts in Alma you have a quite fine chance of setting eyes on one if you stay for a few days here. These are some of the spooky things that have happened here recently. A guy's body with the head of a bear may from time to time be distinguished at a public phone in Alma making a phone call. A number of folks declare this phantom enjoys startling foolish people who come trying to locate phantoms in Alma. A womanly figure has often been made out swallowing water by a deserted highway outside Alma at midnight. Well, this ghost undoubtedly       is menacing; one that is better not upset. The spirit of a female with a cross carved into her hand is frequently noticed smoking a pipe next to Fine Springs at the stroke of midnight. It's been argued that this particular ghost could be the spirit of a local person who passed away here in Alma many years ago.
