I didn't believe it at first because the neighbors told us stories about the house being haunted. At first nothing really happened we lived there for about a year but it was about the last six months that we were there before anything ever happened. I started seeing shadows going to other rooms my cabinets doors would be open in the morning. But what really got me believing     it was haunted was I was awaken sometime during the night to my bedroom door being slammed open and a kid running into the dinning room. I got up to look cause I thought it was one of my kids. So I looked in their room first but they were still asleep. I went into the dinning room to look no one there and then I looked in the kitchen where I heard the foot steps stop at but no one was there and everybody was asleep.
