Benton, Arkansas Ghost Tales The year was 1989 in a neighborhood called DARK FOREST. It was early in the morning around 8:30 or so. I was in a dead sleep when I felt like there was someone in the room with me. It felt like a million ants were walking all over my body. I set straight up in my bed and looks straight ahead to see something I will never forget as long as I live! What I see was a smoke gray colored human figure. It was what is now called a shadow person. The figure wasn't there to scare me but I feel to watch over me. The reason I think that is because it was waiting for me to wake up. Or that is what it looked like! When I setup and seen the figure sitting there it looked like the statue of the thinker. Just sitting there with it's hand under it's chin like it was kind of board. when I setup I said WHAT THA?!!! The figure looked up at me and leaped and was gone. Now what everyone wants to know. What does a REAL shadow person look like? Picture the silver surfer now smoke gray no facial features at all 100% smooth. I could not see through it, it seemed to be thick       just like a real human body. These are some of the spooky things that have happened here recently. The ghost of a gentleman having a name etched into his nose came into view dispatching a packet at a Benton post office. The ghost greeted the eye witness. No matter what people utter, it undoubtedly is a scary ghost that is rather not messed with. The ghost of the driver of a train was observed pulling a corpse from the chilly water of Alum Fork Saline River on a dark night. When the ghost was spotted it faded away into the air. A number of of the residents assert this ghost enjoys frightening foolish folks who come trying to find ghosts in Benton. A female devoid of a head was distinguished fly fishing from the water's edge of Dotted Lake late in the night. Panic stricken by the watchers the phantom withdrew into the darkness. It's been claimed that this particular spirit could be the spirit of a resident who passed away here in Benton long ago.
