We lived in a few odd behaved homes over the years. The first was on high way 315.      My mom woke up with tapping on the windows. Was this just a teen playing a harmless prank. I'm not sure. I talked to a few people that lived in the home before us. They said that they were often awakened by tapping on the same window, but never seen any one there. After a couple of years we decided to move to a much nicer home on main street. It was the last house on this street by the woods. The reader rail road use to run in front of it.
