Cord, Arkansas Ghost Tales


The daylight hours in Cord, Arkansas are equal to daylight hours anywhere else, but when the spooky shadows of the nighttime roll in the undead appear. Cabinets slide around, voices coming out of no-place. A number of local residents assert there are no ghosts, but only some of the locals of Cord are quite alive.

The ghost of a young-looking gentleman sporting a leather jacket can often be made out facing the watcher mid stream in Baker Branch. In any case, it's a terrifying ghost that you wouldn't want to run into at midnight.

A headless gentleman can be spotted frequently yelling at the watcher to be off down next to the water at Hobbs Eddy.

A lady with her head and right arm and left leg amputated has sometimes been witnessed in Bell Lake Brake around midnight attempting to deposit a dead body.

A soldier's outfit staggering around with no body in it is occasionally observed chucking bricks into Bell Lake late at
 
    night.

The spirit of a severely charred female may every so often be made out at Ceder Lake Dam at the stroke of midnight scraping out a nook. Scores of local residents argue this ghost may be a famous former time inhabitant of Cord.
