Submitted by Toni Marie Me and a 5 friends went out to party and drink in high school and we found a cabin on the river that was abandondoned, so we set up shop and we tried to heat the cabin using the stove, but no matter how much wood we put in there it wouldn't heat up. So we got more blankets and later heard noises and voices. Doors slamming doors locked on us for no reason, and as we were trying to leave we saw a figure that followed us to where we went next and for the months to follow until we went back and had a worse experience and I will never go anywhere near that cabin again. A wandering ghost has once in a while been seen dragging a dead body over the grass in Wynn Park before sunrise. Many local residents assert this ghost may be a well-known old days inhabitant of Corning. In any case, this spirit sure is scary; one that any normal person would not want to bump into. The spirit of a young-looking Indian combatant has allegedly been perceived on many instances leading a piloted trip of Sweet Clover Bend to a collection of phantoms late in the night. The phantom of a strong lumberjack clutching a large axe may now and then be seen looking down into the water at Thwait Back Out before sunrise. A scary skeleton has regularly been noticed by Gum Slough going bananas. No matter what, this is a nasty phantom that should be left alone. A man that turned into a vampire is known to have been seen on several instances dragging a dead body from the ice cold water of Winding Slough before sunrise.
