Damascus, Arkansas Ghost Tales I have just been up to the Republican Cemetery(off of 65 by Cash Springs rd and republican rd) in Faulkner County and heard stories from my aunts and great aunts all of whom are in their 80's and 90's and grew up right by the peavine and Cadron Creek. They told me about the original settlers of the area, The CASHARAGO's. The 2 ''old folks'' (Gilbert of Geno Italy and Mary Magdaline of Milan) are buried in the cemetery with my family but the ''young ones'' are buried up on Cash Mountain which is northwest of the cemetery.  They had planted a pecan orchard and wished to be buried there so that they could look out on their land. In the evening my aunts told me that they all have seen ''fireballs'' rolling down the hill. The cemetery is full of my ancestors, my grandmother being the most recent, and is so full of energy I could feel it buzz! If you ever go up there please let me know and maybe I can give you more insight into my family that is there.
