One of the residents determinedly alleges that this ghost is the tormented soul of a long dead Frenchmans Bayou local person. One thing's for sure, this is a hostile ghost that is preferably not interrupted. The spirit of a miner has regularly been observed flying across Golden Lake Crevasse after midnight. Some of the locals say this ghost is the ghost of a traveler that was murdered while journeying through Frenchmans Bayou some decades ago. In any event, it's a frightening ghost that you wouldn't want to run into at night. A lady with a partially see-through body is known to have been seen on frequent instances around midnight examining Massey Bar in detail. It's been said that this exact ghost is that of a local resident who resided here in Frenchmans Bayou before the present. The ghost of a security guard with a bullet hole in his forehead can repeatedly be seen by Peach Bayou attempting to seize something.
