Leola, Arkansas Ghost Tales We lived at 1101 w. main st in Leola a year ago and when my son stayed in the small bedroom he said a little girl would crawl in bed with him at night. he said she didn't talk, only laid beside him. when we asked where she lived he gave us directions to the cemetery. Submitted by Devon Hendrix One could believe that there's nothing peculiar concerning Leola, Arkansas, but when the gloomy shadows of the nighttime enter the undead appear. Some of the dead and buried don't want to pass on in this town. Some people who live here claim these stories are untrue, but everyone who stays in Leola is not alive. These are some of the spooky things that have happened here recently. The phantom of the driver of a train has supposedly been distinguished on several occasions at Cox Creek Lake Dam in the early morning hours before sunrise taking pleasure in the       vista. The ghost of a terribly mangled huntsman pulling a dead moose may sometimes be witnessed in a rubber raft on Cox Creek Lake conversing into the air. Lots of residents claim this ghost could be the soul of a local person who died here in Leola many years ago.
