Elba Ford which is not far from the civil War battle field of mark's mill is the site of an old farm. My grandfather lived in the house that was used as a battlefield hospital during and after the battle. He was a Young man when he lived there in 1912. He said that the house was ''hainted. '' the family heard unexplained groans often and his mother would scrub and     scrub blood stains off the floor that would reappear periodically. Some very Nice people live in that house now so I am not going to disclose the exact location of the home. However my fathers oldest sister died of cancer and was in terrable pain before she died.
