Russell, Arkansas Ghost Tales A couple was startled by loud banging on the floor of a house at approximately 3:00 am on Russell mountain. When investigated immediately thereafter, there was no cause found as to what created it. At the same house, the shadow of a man wearing a large cowboy hat has been seen on the back door, appearing up to 20 minutes at time. Red orbs of light have also been seen outside the house at night. I have been a police officer here now for years, and I work the night shift and have never seen any ghost of any kind. But the town has a dark past and there should be some ghost here but there are not.
