Tables slide around, voices coming from no-place. Not everyone believes in the reports the residents tell, but if you have the guts to spend the night in Washington, you may well spot a phantom for yourself. These are some of the spooky things that have happened here recently. An extraordinarily chilling ghost appeared chatting into the night in Hope State Wildlife Management Area after midnight. When the watcher materialized the ghost fled. One of the people who live here strongly argues that this ghost likes scaring unwise people who have the guts to upset the quiet in Washington. The ghost of an aged prospector with a big mustache and a hook instead of his right hand was distinguished taking pleasure in the scenery at H and P Lake Dam at night. The arrival of the viewer startled the spirit who then vanished.
