Abita Springs, Louisiana Ghost Tales | |

I went to Abita park 2 nights ago and went to the circle spot right where the old gazebo used to be also next to the wooden bridge that crosses Abita river. I was standing out there talking to my friend April on the phone, and I heard foot steps in the grass by the hill where the wooden bridge was and suddenly she heard a spirit whispering what do we do? what do we?!!! as an EVP! It made my hair stand but later on I went home.
The next day I told my friend April that I will go there again tonight to that same circle where the old gazebo used to be and I had her on speaker phone and I said hey would you like to speak to me this time. I also asked what is your name? April said this is really weird because she said that the ghost said her name is Rachel! She could hear the little girl ghost speak but some stuff was a bit unclear. On her end she could hear the ghost a lot better and on my end It was very Very difficult understanding what she was saying. She would try and speak to me on the the phone; it sounded kind of violent. She

ended up screaming on my phone so loud on the speaker phone I had to hold MY phone far away from my face! I sat down on the circle and gave a huge smile and asked if Rachel would like to sit down with me and tell me how she died. She told me she died in the year 1959 through the ears of April. She said the she was eating the berries along the side

of the river so she started choking on the berries and she put her face in the water so she could drink the water to stop choking. She ended up dying right there. She was only 7 years of age! She also told April on her end of the phone that there is a tree directly right behind me so I turned around and looked at the tree and she was telling April about how she used to play little games right there. I told April I will walk up right to that tree to see if she will say anything to me. I walked up to it and she tried talking to me telling me what happened to her at the tree but I had a very hard time figuring out what she was trying to say. April could hear her much better so April told me that Rachel's older brother beat her up very badly at the tree. I told her I am very sorry to hear all about that I spoke to the little girl for over an hour at the park that night. April kept getting texts on her phone of some other ghost that was there last night and the first text said who are you! and the next text said you need to leave. She had quite

a bit of texts after that. I was a friendly aspect for the little girl named Rachel. She did not want me to leave but I ended up leaving anyway. I got toward where the brick wall was to the end of the park and sat on the wall and got back down and looked at the whole park and got this sound of ssshhhhhhhh woor such hchchchhaaaaaaaa! It was also something that Rachel was trying to tell me but still could not understand and April was still getting texts on her phone from the other ghost but this time since I was far away from the river and as of the circle as well. The texts did not make sense at all. They were just random letters that got put into the phone. It was quite a mystery and I will be back to speak with her next week this all happened on July 22. 2009.
