The ghost of a bound up woman has occasionally been spotted gazing at the water by Bayou Boef Lock before dawn. A lady with the head of a devil is now and then distinguished swimming down by North Beach after midnight. One thing is for sure, this is a nasty ghost that should be avoided. The ghost of a gentleman with half his head missing may from time to time be witnessed throwing chunks of concrete into the stream at American Bayou at midnight. In any event, it unquestionably is a creepy ghost that you wouldn't want to come across around midnight.
