Then it wasn't just some beeping. It was an actual alarm that would go off if someone were to break into our house; however keep in mind that we had our entire alarm system deactivated upon moving in 5 1/2 years ago.
I studied the small alarm system and got the number for the company and went outside to call. They told me what to press so I went back in and did that. I tried 4 times pressing each button I was instructed to with no results.

weren't totally sure what to tell me at that time and the lady on the phone rambled about how she would check all this confusing coding I didn't understand.

In the middle of her babbling while I was outside again I heard the alarm totally cease.
I stepped inside to observe the system thing and nothing looked any different. I was totally freaked out that it would just start up like that considering that absolutely no one was around doing any activity that would start it (even though it was not activated).
