on the light. When she flipped the switch the room had a purple haze to it, and the light popped, burning out. She ended up sleeping in my room for the rest of the night. Eventually we moved out of the house, but still to this day I often wonder about it. I would love to know more about the history. I now live in Florida, but my grandparents still live in Fluker in Kent Acres. Whenever I go home for Christmas or to visit I am constantly being pulled
by the gravity of that place.|

I was raised approx 1 / 2 mile from the old home that your speaking of it was an old plantation home with 2 slave houses next door to it. We played around on grounds of the house when we were kids no one was living in the home at the time an old woman was seen by us kids several times in or on the grounds of the house..
We thought she was the owner who came down from another town or city to check on the house. My father who was the police chief at the time knew the owners but I can't remember their name. Someone broke into the house one night and stole all the funiture out of it and burned the main house down but the slave quarters are still there.
I remember now the property was called the old newsome place .. Pls text me back my name is Joseph Phillips Jr my email is firstname.lastname@example.org.
