Custom Search Labadieville, Louisiana Ghost Sightings Labadieville PAGE 1   2     Cedar Grove Plantation had a railroad track at the back and it has been told that there was a man swinging a lantern then it turned to car lights and then a single light. It was said that he was a breaksman and had been killed on the track. There is also talk of a headless horseman traveling the street at night. These stories were told to us by my mother who had lived in the area all of her adult life. This particular story was told     by my father and brother who are now deceased. My father did not believe in ghosts. He was adament there is no such thing. My father collect scrap iron and my brother helped him. They were in a pasture and my father was collecting the scrap iron while my brother sat in the station wagon listening to music. It was dusk dark when my brother said he looked in the rear view mirror and saw a light in the back seat of the car. He yelled to my father and ran leaving him.
