Lafayette, Louisiana Ghost Tales | |

When we went on to the bridge on Stone Rd. we turned off the truck and nothing happened we were all a bit disappointed so we got in the truck and left but a few seconds into the ride we realized that all 4 of our tires were flat. We had a compresser and filled them back up till we got back to town but there were no leaks and never went flat again!. Submitted by anonymous Categories: bridge, cars
Second story....Mary Jane bridge, stone road Lafayette/St. Martinsville la...I personally went wit about 5 friends one night to said bridge..was too chicken to turn off car on bridge so put into park before bridge..two of the guys with us decided they needed to relieve themselves and would go into the field to the side of the road...the both exited the car on the passenger side..and entered overgrown field...the night was bright with moonlight and there were 3 more of us in vehicle...after about 30 minutes we became worried about the guys and started calling for them...they suddenly reappeared...ON THE OTHER

SIDE of the road..when questioned they said they had just walked in and relieved themselves and came right back out when they had heard ME scream their names...I wasn't one of the ones calling for them and none of us had ever actually screamed...neither of these guys are pranksters and were genuinely baffled as to how they ended up not he other side

of road as they swore they only went into filed a couple of feet and hadn't even been there 5 minutes...it was about this time another member of the car noticed the moon reflecting off something to the left of the bridge near the waterline(this is a small coulee bridge not large one) from a distance it looked like a draped body lying in the mud...we had had enough and piled back into the thankfully still running car and skedaddled out of there. I have never gone back. Submitted by LaShadows Categories: cars, bridge, figures
Not sure if this is Lafayette..or if we went far enough into St. Martinsville area..but there is a legend of stone road and Mary Jane bridge ..most towns have one..however I have two stories...1st my MOTHER..of all people says when they were in college they went to the bridge..the legend says if you turn off your car on bridge you wont be able to start it again for almost 10 minutes...the y turned of the old wagon they were in(it wasn't old at time) and out of no where

a large white owl dive bombed the vehicle..slamming into the windshield..when everyone nun flinched and looked up the windshield was cracked Dina web formation but there was no feathers no blood and no bird to be seen. Submitted by LaShadows Categories: cars, bridge
