Monroe, Louisiana Ghost Tales    This is a picture I took at The Blue Monkey Taverin one night. Also a number of the the employees there have had paranormal encounters. Bottles being thrown at them, foot steps and more. The people who built this house are still here. The next one is my uncle's wife she never left. Sometimes you can smell cig smoke and it just chokes you bad. Because no one in my family smokes at all. There are cold spots in the house. Things disappear, and are hard to find. And windows are open for no reason. tThis is just a plain old haunted full of mischief house. Anyone wants it they can sure come and buy it. And they can put up with all this weird stuff. The ghost of an old prospector with a large beard and a hook instead of his hand has purportedly been witnessed on several occasions heaving boulders   into Black Bayou Lake late in the night. The ghost of an old lady holding a shot gun may often be made out staggering from building to building late at night on a Monroe road. The ghost of an old Indian chief may be noticed very often in Benoit Recreation Area on a dark night hauling a corpse over the grass. The phantom of an aged cleaning lady is from time to time witnessed going through the freezer in the kitchen of a Monroe flat at the stroke of midnight. No matter what people verbalize, it's undeniably a creepy ghost that is better not upset. The ghost of a young female outfitted as a maid has allegedly been observed on several occasions looking at folks in a Monroe house through a keyhole. One thing is for certain, this is an intimidating phantom that you would not want to encounter at the stroke of midnight. The spirit of a dispossessed gentleman has frequently been perceived by Bennet Bayou trying to find a hat. Either way, it's a frightening ghost that you shouldn't go seeking. A menacing being is regularly spotted taking pleasure in the scenery at Bayou de Siard Dam very late at night. Lots of residents claim this ghost is that of a local resident who had a house here in Monroe in the past. In any event, it unquestionably is a terrifying spirit that should be left alone.
