My great-grandmother who was born a slave told me there used to be ghosts of slaves in the area. Many of these ghosts found peace when slavery ended and most remaining ones faded away when discrimination gradually faded away. But there is one ghost of a slave that never went away. He is still here in NewRoads to this very day. |
I saw him once from my window. He was standing in my front yard, just standing there. It was scary to say the least. I thought it
was some crazy person because he was dressed very badly and looked dirty and worn. I opened the window to tell him to go away or I call police, but when
I opened the window he disappeared. I was so scared, more scared than I have ever been before or after.|

Glynn 8 miles away: I live in Glynn, Louisiana at my grandma house and we live near a graveyard. Every time I go outside I will see 2 figures by these old cars, not moving, just starring. It is really scary to live here ...
