At times I see people from another time maybe 18th-19th cent- walking down from the area of the cathedral to the bayou. As if coming down to the bayou to meet after church. They pass right through me. I don' t see them as ghosts so much     as atmospheric impressions of a past time in st martinville. That somehow I am able to see. Left mass Early and wandered down to bayou teche by the Evangeline oak. I love this area sat for a few minutes and was thinking. Suddenly in my mind came the words repeatedly '' aidez moi aidez moi.
