Slidell, Louisiana Ghost Tales In the late 1980's I was traveling from Magnolia Forest subdivision (Slidell/Pearl River)on Military Road towards Slidell. I was driving along that evening and out of no where was a woman standing in the road...all bright and white. I thought it as an actual human being. I slammed on my breaks, drove right through her...but there was no one there. My heart was racing because I honestly thought I was going to hit someone...but there was no one there. The phantom of a gentleman hauling a sword is frequently made out throwing pebbles in Bradley Hammock at the stroke of midnight. It has been argued that this precise ghost could be the soul of a resident who died here in Slidell some decades ago. The ghost of a female having letters etched into her forehead may often be observed excavating a hollow near the water's edge at Olimpic Beach.
