Chairs shift around, shrieks out of no-place. Several local residents assert there are no ghosts, but a trip to Adair, Oklahoma will make anybody believe. These are some of the spooky things that have happened here recently. The       spirit of a gentleman with half his head lost may frequently be made out trying on socks in an Adair home. Folks say that this ghost is the struggling soul of a long departed Adair local. The   phantom of a young-looking lady in a bloody prom dress can be distinguished repeatedly monitoring the scenery from the apex of Jesse James Hill very late at night. One of the folks who live here determinedly argues that this ghost is the ghost of a visitor that was murdered while driving through Adair before the present. The phantom of a twelve foot tall huge giant is every so often made out in Squaw Hollow on a dark night calling people's names. The spirit of a teen girl may now and then be seen hauling a body from the freezing water of Armstrong Branch at midnight.
