Marion was sewed up, bandaged up, and after a long time, healed up. He decided not to go back to Oney, but found work in a barber shop in Anadarko. It was there that he noticed a pretty dark haired girl who worked as a     store clerk. He bragged to his fellow barbers that that was the girl he was going to marry. In 1928 they married and Marion Landers and Elizabeth Handley were to have seven children, including me. The story of the summer day in Oney was repeated many times.
