The phantom of a man dressed in a military uniform can be noticed repeatedly on the summit of Buzzards Roost in the early morning hours monitoring the vista.

A female with a machete sticking out of her head has sometimes been spotted pulling a dead body over rocks in Wister Lake State Park late
 
    at night.

The spirit of a lady with a sack strapped around her head is occasionally noticed reading a tabloid mid stream in Black Fork. Locals who have noticed this phantom declare this phantom might be a celebrated former time inhabitant of Howe.
