Hydro, Oklahoma Ghost Tales


In the daylight hours Hydro, Oklahoma is an ordinary United States settlement, but the ghost reports passed on by the local residents are sufficient to make anyone reconsider making a stop here. Ghosts are so standard here; scores of residents don’t even fret about it any longer. A number of residents say there are no phantoms, but a journey to Hydro, Oklahoma will make anyone believe.

The spirit of a young-looking woman
  dressed in a blood-splattered prom dress may often be made out late at night exploring American Horse Canyon in detail. It's been said that this exact ghost is the undeparted soul of a long forgotten Hydro local resident. In any case, this phantom undoubtedly is chilling; one that should be avoided.

The phantom of a 9 foot tall enormous guy can be perceived very frequently on the highest spot of Dead Woman Mound before sunrise glancing at the panorama.

The ghost of a female having half her head gone has every so often been perceived covering a body by a big boulder in American Horse
Lake State Hunting and Fishing Area late in the night. Regardless of what, this is an intimidating spirit that you wouldn't want to encounter at the stroke of midnight.

A character with a skeleton face in shadowy robes is every now and then made out at American Horse Lake Dam before sunrise taking in the surroundings. If you listen to the local residents, this ghost is that of a local person who existed here in Hydro many years ago.
