The ghost of a man with names engraved into his forehead has supposedly been observed on several instances late at night gazing over Choate Prairie.

The ghost of an appallingly mangled huntsman dragging a dead wolf can repeatedly be witnessed looking at the
 
    water by Lake Mcalester Dam around midnight. It's been alleged that this particular phantom is that of a person who resided here in Indianola in the past.

The ghost of a young lady with a cable around her neck has every so often been perceived in a motor boat on Lake McAlester flinging boulders.
