The old Martha bridge is just a couple of miles west of Martha, Oklahoma, and very seldom used by anyone. The elderly man got two wine glasses and a bottle of wine out of the model-T Ford. The elderly couple stood on the bridge drinking their wine, looking at the water and listening to the birds and insects chirp and sing. Just a couple of years later the man and woman both died of old age.
