Mcalester, Oklahoma Ghost Tales I live in a house on Ashland st. on the north side of town. I have had a few experiences myself. If you go to the kitchen in the middle of the night there has been a black figure almost in the shape of a man sitting on the sofa facing the kitchen door way.. The really strange thing about the house is that there may have been a young child that passed in the house. Also late at night you can hear my son's toys being played with and he's asleep. There was a time my mother ( his grandmother) had feltl asleep in the same room. She was awaken by this noise of someone going through the toys in the corner, that was the last night she ever spent in that room. My son has this one toy that I guess the spirit must like. It's a toy helicopter (you can push buttons to make sounds) and that thing will go off repeatedly when it is in that room. And my son doesn't really play with it anymore. So to prevent it from going off a lot during the day and night it had to be removed from the room and now it doesn't go off... I'm not saying these are sightings or anything       positively but it sure seems that way to me how else would you explain them. We've heard   a man yelling in there many times. One time me and my friend Brianna were bored so we were throwing rocks in there and one rock we through in there we didn't hear it hit like someone caught it. So we ran inside and our back door was open and we were watching. Then all of a sudden a black fog shaped like a person ran from the house down the alley and out of our sight. Our dogs were barking like crazy then suddenly stopped and were completely calm. Then we ran to the living room and held a statue of Jesus in my hands and nothings happened since then. This woman's husband had committed suicide in the house, supposedly in the living room. When I rented the house from her for about a year, back in 91-92, at night you could hear someone walking on the front porch with boots on, but if you looked outside you saw nothing. If you were in the back bedrooms you would hear the foot steps in the hall or living room walking back and forth and trying door knobs every once in while. It would also turn on the TV around 11pm - 3am. I know it scared my wife so bad when we had to move.
