Noble, Oklahoma Ghost Tales | |

|
When the moment came for the elderly man to die of cancer he had only one regret. He couldn't understand why none of his family or friends would not believe he had actually seen two ghosts several times in his orchard. The old man loved rising early in the morning to walk in his orchard and admire the apple, pear, hazelnut, and peach trees he loved so dearly. He saw the ghost of a beautiful girl in a short sequined dress, and the ghost of a handsome doughboy soldier from the 1920's. He always saw the two ghosts in the spring while his trees were blooming. The ghost of the doughboy always picked a bloom from the same apple tree, and then put it in the beautiful girls hair. The two ghosts would then kiss and fade into nothingness. The elderly man was my uncle and died when I was a teenager. And many years later now that I am an adult I actually believe him because there are so many things about this place God made that we don't understand, and even more things that we may never know or understand. My uncle was a strong church attending man
