Okarche, Oklahoma Ghost Tales I lived in a haunted house in Okarche for more than 10 years.  It is the old Hunter house on Kansas Ave.  I don't think the Hunter's ever left.  My family and I witnessed unexplained occurrences on numerous occasions. I do know some stories that I heard growing up or investigated with high school friends...Like the glowing tomb stone, or monster bridge. Okarche is a German settlement town with a strong history. I'm sure there are spirits that walk main street and down the dirt roads...there are many old homes. The Loosen house being on e of them and the Catholic Church along with the building that once housed the Nun's. The church is over 100 years old.
