Ponca City, Oklahoma Ghost Tales The American Legion Childrens home is haunted...i remember when I was little I was outside at night with my parents by our car, I was throwing a fit so they just left me outside ( hahaa) but when I finally decided to go into my house, I went into my room and looked out the window and saw someone in white standing right where I had been next to the car. Another time, I was about 11 or 12...i woke up around 3 AM becuase I could hear the train by Union Elementary going by. the light in the hall was on..my bed was in front of the door that let to the hall..when I looked in the hall I saw a man in sweats runing towards my door. I have never slept with my door open ever again!. Night hour is undeceased time in this town. A number of folks who live here argue these accounts are untrue, but Ponca City is bursting with stressed souls just waiting to freak you out. These       are some of the spooky things that have happened here recently. The spirit of a man with a pentagram etched into his forehead was distinguished smoking a cigar in Blaine Stadium late at night. There are several reports involving this phantom in the neighborhood. If you listen to the people who live here, this phantom could be the soul   of a local person who died here in Ponca City before the present. Regardless of what folks utter, it's a creepy spirit that you shouldn't go seeking. The ghost of an awfully mangled huntsman dragging a dead wolf has repeatedly been perceived on a Ponca City residential street around midnight. One thing's for sure, it is certainly a creepy ghost that should be steered clear of. A lady with no head is repeatedly observed floating in the air like a cloud in Ponca City. A man devoid of a head has been noticed on one or two instances gazing at a lady slumbering on a futon in a flat in Ponca City. If you listen to what the local residents argue, this ghost may very well be a recognized former time resident of Ponca City. An incredibly creepy ghost may repeatedly be seen throwing stones into East Lake Ponca in the early morning hours. The ghost of an elderly gold digger with a large mustache and a hook instead of his left hand can be perceived often staring at the water by Ponca Dam very late at night. In any case, this is a hostile ghost that is preferably not upset.
