Tipton, Oklahoma Ghost Tales | |
|
Between Tipton, Oklahoma and Altus, Oklahoma is the small community of Humphrey's, Oklahoma. A mile and a half southeast of Humphrey's is a rather prominent clay hill. In earlier times there were once two homes on top of the hill that have long since fallen apart and been hauled away. Two years ago stories began circulating about a ghostly pale fair haired boy who could some times be seen standing on top of the hill. It is said that this ghost boy is about 15 years of age, holding school books and crying. I was told this ghost boy also has a very lonesome sad look on his face, and is always facing north. Maybe it's one of the boys who lived in a house on the hill many years ago, and is waiting for a school bus that will never arrive to pick him up. Submitted by Kay Bartlett
