Loads of ghost reports have been told by the locals. People who have never stayed for a few days in this municipality will inform you it's lies, but seeing is believing and if you stay for the night here in Welch, you may well observe a ghost. These are some of the spooky things that have happened here recently. A large bloodcurdling ghost was seen trying to grasp something in the center of Deer Creek. The ghost spoke about revenging a slaying. People here say that this ghost is in all probability the tormented ghost of a local person who used to have a house here in Welch. The spirit of a young gentleman having on a confederate uniform was distinguished up on Timber Hill reflecting. The witness was terrified and fled. One thing is for guaranteed, it's a bloodcurdling ghost that is preferably not disrupted. The ghost of a hobo came into sight       by Dick Melendy Dam at night staring at the water. The ghost did not appear to be anxious by the witnesses. One of the people who live here determinedly claims that this ghost is the tormented spirit of a long dead Welch local person. The ghost of a young female drenched in blood was perceived flinging pieces of wood into Dick Melendy Reservoir   on a dark night. When the ghost was noticed it vanished into the thin air. Any which way, it undoubtedly is a scary ghost that you don't want to come across at midnight. A man with a large hole through his upper body has regularly been observed pacing through a home in Welch. A number of of the people who live here claim this ghost is the ghost of a traveler that was killed while driving through Welch long ago.
