She sank right into the ground! I was so shaken up! I took off on my bicycle and headed home. For days and weeks the sighting stayed on my mind. Those red eyes and the ghost vanishing and reappearing were too much for my mind. It's just unexplainable. Up until then I hadn't believed in ghosts. So---does this mean that there really is an ''after-life?''. In the 1950s I grew up there listening to my Cherokee grandmother's stories of Indian customs legends & tribal history. She told of the Addielee witch who settled near Addielee and built a shack in the upper forests about 1000 feet northeast of the present-day crossroads at Addielee.
