Whitefield, Oklahoma Ghost Tales I lived in a haunted house about 3 miles west of Whitefield on highway 9. The old address was Rt 3 Box 380 but I don't know what it would be now. It is a now falling down brick house with a lot of overgrown plants around it, on the right side of the road if you are driving from Whitefield toward enterprise, right between the two roads that lead from the highway to Hoyt. Some of the things I saw in this house were: *An old man in a rocking chair in the back additon *A little girl in the side yard *I used to play with a little girl named Linda when I was a child; she lived on my swingset and I brought her cookies. No one else could see her. *There was an eerie feeling most of the time, even in the middle of the day. *There are also many animal ghosts here, most notably a little black and white rat terrier. *More animal ghosts are located in the white block building on the property. This house is very old and has been abandoned since 2002, so I'm sure the spirits have probably become more active since then. I have pictures from when we lived there; I will try to scan them and upload them soon.
