in the 1990s. Supposedly the new couple that moved on that block of land now reports seeing the same apparitions as well, but we have no idea who these people are or why they are still there.

Old Collins Cemetery is very much a place that I and my children no longer pay a visit. We were cleaning and placing flowers for our grandmother when a woman in her late twenties or early thirties appeared. Her skin was pale, and her clothes were old. She was wearing a beige sweater and a skirt. She had a stick that looked like three forks. She kept looking at me and my children, and she smiled. She moved on past the tree. My oldest daughter stayed in the car with my son for he fell asleep. I happened to turn and look, and the woman was near my car. There was another man there that was cleaning a gravesite on the opposite side of the dirt road. When she touched my car, which I was not very far from; and my daughter had locked the doors when she passed by with my two daughters who were helping me and this other man, the woman disappeared. It took me a few seconds to realize what just happened. My daughters said ''mommy what was that? Where did she go?'' The man and I just looked at each other both saying ''let's get out of here. ''
I had to go around another dirt road to get out, and we saw the woman again. This time her arms were crossed, and she was close to a grave stone. Then she disappeared again. When my husband came home from work my daughters told my husband what had happened. He looked at me like what kind of prank we all are putting on. A few days later I felt a strange presence in my car. I was driving a friend home with her two-year-old daughter; she refused to go in the back seat. My friend and I kept hearing strange noises in the back seat thinking maybe it was a cat for I left the windows down. The little girl was so frightened, as well as my friend and I, that I had to drop her off a block away from home.
As I passed the church nearby something grabbed at my seat and started shaking it and pulling my hair and hearing a hissing sound. As I write this I have chills. I started driving like a bat out of hell. As soon as I got in the driveway I basically was running out of my seat. My husband was outside, and that is when I started screaming. My husband and I have seen a black spirit coming out of the car. I never drove the car again. We had a priest bless my car with holy water, and he too felt the evil spirit. It was a new car. I just paid it off but had junked it. It was not worth it. My brother-in-law and wife had gone out to the cemetery and had the same experience. My husband and I did not share what had happened. My brother-in-law called my husband, and he told my husband about a woman. He described the same woman that my children and I had seen. Two days later my sister-in-law with her sister experienced the same black evil spirit. If we go there, which now is maybe once a year, we all go together with holy water and bible and pray before we get out of our vehicles. So be very careful when you enter the Old Collins Cemetery for truly there is something evil there.

Comment by Joey: The lady you saw is named Cynthia; she died in a car accident in the mid 80s. She was with some friends racing when they lost control of the car and fell off the bridge onto the creek below right before you get to McCoy's Lumber in Alice. Her head was never found; she is buried right next to my grandmother. Her picture is on her gravestone and she is wearing the same sweat shirt you describe!.
Comment by anonymous: I'm the one who wrote about this. I'm just reading about Cynthia. Wow I had always wondered who she was. Thank you for sharing this with me. I pray Cynthia finds peace.
