Amarillo, Texas Ghost Sightings - PAGE 16
(...continued from the previous page)|
One day me and my husband were walking around the old abandoned BSA hospice hospital and as I looked up there was a man watching us. I couldn't see his face but when he saw that I saw him he walked away real quick.
My heart pounded! He was in one of the rooms just staring down at us. And also another time we were walking around over there we saw another man in a wheel chair looked like he came out of the hospital.
But he was screaming, yelling,
cursing. He was in the middle of the road in oncoming traffic but nobody saw that he was there, just me and my husband, then all of a sudden he vanished!
It was pretty creepy!.|

Comment by Hope: One night when driving by there we saw the lights flickering on and off in on of the rooms when I later told one of my friends about it she told me she saw an old man in a wheelchair at the corner of the street just sitting there. I think y'all may have seen the same ghost.
Comment by Mark: I used to work there before they closed it. There were are a lot of creepy things going on in that building. The story behind the man in the wheel chair was well known to employees. Apparently in the 1980s a mental patient escaped the hospital and committed suicide by rolling his wheelchair onto Amarillo Boulevard - the old convent portion of the building also has a lot of strange activity.
Supposedly at least two nuns died inside the convent.
Comment by Estella: One time in maybe 2013 my family and I were at the stop light, and I'm sure I saw somebody looking down from a second floor window, but nobody else in the car saw it even after I pointed to the window.
