Amarillo, Texas Ghost Sightings - PAGE 2
(...continued from the previous page)|
While she was gone one day my sisters and I got into the hallway to play hide and seek (I was it.) When I got done counting I heard rustling upstairs. Assuming it was my sisters, I went up to find them only to find a foot entering a room. Jokingly I say ''found you!'' Then after looking in the room there was no one. I eventually found my sisters downstairs. Later that night I was half asleep when someone whispered ''no, you didn't!'' I was terrified.

In 2003 my family moved into a townhouse behind Region 16. My work hours had me up by 5:00 am and at work by 7:00 am. I would arrive home about 3:15 pm. Usually I would rest on the living room sofa and nap a little until time to fix supper. Many times I was awakened to the sound of the back door opening and someone walking through the nearby kitchen. Because I had small grandchildren, I had tied the cabinets under the sink closed with plastic bags. I could hear something brush the bags. (No vents to cause this sound. ) On more than one occasion I thought it was my husband and called out his name.
On one occasion, I was up watching the news about 10:00 pm when a picture that sat near the middle of a table in the front window lifted up off of the table and was thrown to the floor. (Freaked me out!) My husband and I were awakened many times at night with what sounded like someone lifting our very heavy couch and dropping it. It happened often. I came home from a trip once and my husband had his gun lying on the nightstand because he kept hearing the furniture drop.
After those disturbances stopped, something seemed to be taking a hammer to our washer and dryer in the utility room next to our bedroom. At first we dismissed it as just heat from the appliances causing them to expand and contract. Finally I realized that they had not been used one particular night, and the noise was loud enough to wake us up. I prayed that whatever was causing the noise would stop claiming the Blood of Jesus and the protection of his love. The noise, which had been continuing as I prayed, suddenly stopped! Anytime after that I prayed the Blood of Christ, and it would immediately stop. Actually the fact that prayer stopped the disturbance was about as creepy as the noise itself!.
