Custom Search Bangs, Texas Ghost Sightings   My grandfather was born and raised outside of Bangs and continued to live there part of the year after he retired. As my sister and I grew older we were interested in all of the old ghost stories he could think to tell. One story was about a family that died in a fire sometime around Christmas. He told us that if you passed the house after dusk you could see the fire lighting up the interior of the home. Of course we didn't     believe him but we asked him to drive us by the sight. Sure enough as you passed the home you could see a fire raging inside the windows and behind the screen door, yet if you looked at the house after you passed it the fire wasn't there. We drove by that house time and time again over the course of that summer and each time, being day or night, I could clearly see the flames attempting the engulf the home and through the screen door I could see a Christmas tree lit in the corner of the livingroom.
