I lived in a small house on Fisher Hill Road off Cedar Bayou across from the old cemetery. My first night upon moving in I woke up at 3 am terrified for no real reason. My adrenaline was pumping, and I went through the house turning on all the lights. I thought it was just due to my first night in a new house. Soon after I started to hear footsteps in the house. Several times I woke up to the sound of someone running up the front wooden steps. I expected them to knock, but upon checking nobody was there.
I'd also hear my front door open and slam shut, but when checked the door was still locked, and nobody was there. I later heard that many of the houses in that area were ''haunted.'' I heard stories of a murder in a different house on Fisher Hill and also stories that the cemetery used to extend to that area before the houses were built. It was certainly a creepy place back when I lived there.

Comment by Lc: I have taken my husband to that cemetery on a few basis he is sensitive and even he has a hard time due to ''bad'' spirits off to the side of the church where the burials meet the water.
Comment by Chris: Compelling story. I think some of the paranormal activity you have experienced is from the same land. I lived on the Evergreen plantation. It was a big plantation and expanded all the way close to old river. I see there is a lot of hauntings in Baytown more than we know. Baytown has a rich history.
