Ben Franklin, Texas Ghost Tales We own about 40 acres in Ben Franklin. There is an old house built in the late 1890's that is on the back of our property. Upon going into this house, when we first bought the property, we felt an unusual feeling as if we were being watched. When we went into the kitchen, an old man appeared. The figure was hazy and he appeared to be trying to talk but nothing could be heard. My wife walked closer to try and get a better look and when she got about 3' from the hazy figure it appeared that the figure fell to the ground like sand. We both looked at one another and thought we had imagined it....We left the       house and it still sits as it did the day we bought the property. On occasion when I am brush hogging the property I will go by the house and I see the old man figure through the windows....It is almost   like he is living in the old house. The house is in bad shape and I would like to tear it down but just cant bring myself to do it...I guess we will have the old house on our property as long as we own it...We dont feel threatened, just confused as my wife and I have never thought about Ghost or the other side so to speak..We thought we were crazy until I found this web site....
