This has got to be the most creepiest woods in Chico on cr 1635. We have always thought this woods was a little strange. So we thought a tape recorder would do the trick of finding out what was going on. As we set the tape recorder on a tree stump we heard a baby crying very loudly. We just thought nothing of it, but as it got louder we started to freak. We looked and found nothing. Submitted by Valerie, Taylar, Destiny Categories: woods, sounds
Okay, it may seem like an average little street, but when you've lived there for about 4 years, you will think different. This road, CR 1635, will freak you out. My friend, Destiny, claims that she saw a tall, white figure with red glowing eyes walking down the road. I too have experienced things. Every morning at about 7AM, if you get up early enough, you could hear a little girl screaming. I have heard the devastating scream for 3 days straight and it does freak me out. Ok I've lived in Chico all my life. Mount house isn't haunted. I've spent the night there. And the closet upstairs there's a hole in the right side of the wall. Me and my friend crawled in there and find a tiny space. It leads to the attic. More than 3 people CAN fit into that closet. But no the house isn't haunted. It's just

an old house. People have rented it but now its trashed. That was one of the first houses built in Chico. It's not haunted so quit wasting your time. I've been there so many times its not even funny. I've been through that whole house and in the attic and cellar. Nothing there. Submitted by anonymous Category: home
I recently moved to the Chico community and the Mount House fascinates. Myself and three friends visited the house this past Friday and I believe the place is definitely haunted. (By the way we are all adults in our mid thirties to forties not a bunch of kids having fun) While we were standing on the front porch we could hear glass breaking in the original part of the house made of stone as well as water dripping from no apparent source. The house has definitely been vandalized and that's what makes it even sadder as the historical marker has even been stolen. As far as the storage place in the hallway you could definitely fit several children and a few smaller adults in there

so the previous blogger is wrong about that one. I have some psychic abilities (which I know some do not believe in ) and believe that unmentionable things happened on the property in the late 1800's and cant seem to get anyone to discuss the Mount family or their home. From what I understand the home is still owned by the Mount family descendants who refuse to sell or rent the home / property. (of course the home is not livable now) There are definitely spirits there, one in particular is a small black child with pigtails surrounded by water who was murdered by the ''towns people''. There is a young black male (teenager) who sits on the front porch and is very sad as well as a grown black male who was hung on the property. There was also an infant(mixed race)around 6-10 months old who was suffocated in the upstairs bedroom/playroom. I also saw the soldier that was spoken of in the cellar outside who seems to have been murdered on the property. I would like to find out more of the actual history of this property and home but no one seems to want to talk about it..Wonder why? I will take some photos and upload them to this website in the coming weeks..so check back to view them...If anyone has more information about the history please check the ''chatty Cathu website'' and add your blogs there....
