Converse, Texas Ghost Tales Location of Sighting: Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Converse Texas.. Miller Road and Gibbs Sprawl Date of Sighting: Around July 1994. How it happened: Some background first, I went to Judson and lived in Converse since about the age of 5 and moved around different neighborhoods in the town so I'm familiar with all of my local surroundings. So one night, my high school girlfriend and I went to a late night movie at the old Galaxy theatre( Rialto now). The movie was over around 130am ish or so and she lived in Candlewood which is off Gibbs Sprawl and Crestway.. Well because we shouldnt have been out that late, I took a shortcut through the Glen which leads to the back road leading in to Candlewood off of Miller Rd. I had been on Miller Road plenty of times and knew that across the street was a cemetary but I never paid any attention to it. Well that night on the way home, while on Miller Road, my ex and I ( both of whom were not intoxicated at all) saw a ghost of a woman with white hair, a white night gown and she was expressionless.       She didnt advance toward our car or anything, she just appeared as a spirit that couldnt sleep. This ''woman'' ghost was a few yards beyond the entrance to Candlewood ( Ridge Mile Dr. ) and stood there as we turned into the neighborhood. My girlfriend at the time and I freaked out! She locked her door and jumped on to my side of the car until we reached   her house! WE COULDNT BELIEVE OUR EYES and BOTH SAW THE SAME THING! I didnt believe in ghosts until that night... A co workers uncle was near the mexican cemetery,when he happend to see into his rearview mirror and saw the glowing torso of a woman in the road by the cemetery,moving towards his car, so he floored it and got away.This same co-worker said sometimes from his grandmother's house near this cemetery,they could see lights and hear noises at times.
