20 some odd years ago, when I was just a year and a half old something happened that shook me through to my spine...I remember it vividly. I lived on what is a dead end road on a hill across from this little cemetery that was mostly buried in the woods back then. My house sat at the top of an incline in the middle of a field. It's all cow pasture now and the house burned down. I remember a couple by the last name Jackson lived down at the bottom of the hill on the main road and would babysit me and my baby sister sometimes. Any way, one night something woke me and I stood straight up in bed and looked out the window a big milky white ball was swirling and slowly moving across the ground. I jumped down and buried my head in my dad's armpit. He said, 'oh go on back to sleep you didn't see nuthin.' Well, he confirmed it, because I hadn't said anything to him, just dove for cover. a few years later, my family had moved to another town and my aunt, uncle, and cousin had moved into this house. one day while they were all gone, my

step mom had gone over there to clean for them. She came back white as a... and told this story --- I was in the kitchen, I had sat down to have coffee and smoke a ciggerette and I saw in the livin room there was this little girl just sittin there on the couch. I thought she was one of __ __'s little friends or somthin. But, I didn't see her come

in or anything ; so I said, 'whatchya doin there?' She got up off the couch and walked in there in the kitchen where I was and poured her self a glass of water and didn't answer. She runs her finger around the top of the glass and then looks up at me an' says, 'you'd better leave before the evil comes.' -- at that my step mom said she was so scared she just dropped her ciggerette and grabbed her purse and left. I have been back to copeville a couple of times over the past several years. It has changed somewhat but the old buildings and old homes are still hangin around. I have not noticed anything unusual since my childhood encounter. however, I was told by my cousin, who lived there after me, that a little girl was murdered there and thrown down a well. .
