Copperas Cove, Texas Ghost Tales On highway 190, just outside of Copperas Cove, Tx toward Lampasas, Tx, there is a woman ghost who walks along the highway. It is said that many years ago she was in a wreck with her children and she walks up and down the highway in search for her children. My sister and I saw her one night around 11:30 p.m. when we were heading back to Lampasas from Killeen. It was a typical ghostly image/walk - she had a white, sheer, flowing gown on with brown hair just below the shoulders and was walking with her hands slightly lifed by her side. We looked at each other and glanced back and she was gone. We told this story to some friends from Copperas Cove and Lampasas and that's how we found out about her story. Submitted by Jennifer This ghost I have witnessed myself, She went through the Lee Ledger Auditorium doors of the Copperas Cove High School dressed in a tattered white gown. she looked back at me when she went inside, turned around to run and dissapeared. I saw someone going to the doors after she did, and tried opening it and it was       locked. she doesnt seem harmful but I saw her during the day my freshman year, four years ago. This particular ghost has been observed over and over again in this area. Folks declare that this ghost may perhaps be a celebrated days gone by inhabitant of Copperas Cove. The phantom of a guy dressed as a janitor was made out reading a tabloid near the water at Copperas Point. Numerous reports of this ghost have been described. A female with a moderately transparent body has repeatedly been distinguished on the apex of Anderson Mountain before dawn examining the view. The ghost of a security guard with a bullet hole in his forehead is frequently observed sobbing in Beecham Gap on a dark night. The ghost of a gentleman dressed in an armed forces outfit has allegedly been observed on many occasions covering a dead body by a large boulder in Bulldog Stadium before sunrise.
